In the atcion proper, Pauline tells her parents, while she is in a trance, of a romance she experienced in Spain years before.
Paulnie is in love with Dr.
John Grant, but her father doesnt want her to marry him, so he sends her on a Craibbean cruise.
During another dream, she describes the general location of a buried treasure.
